Registering for Library Membership:
You need a library membership ID card to borrow books from our libraries; register online to save time. State your preferred library and simply collect your card from that site later.
*Membership grants 24/7 access to our libraries at RSCH and PRH.
Using our resources and services:
Search our catalogue where you can also request or renew items using your library membership number. Or access our Evidence-based point of care tools such as UpToDate Anywhere and BMJ Best Practice.
For many online resources you’ll need an NHS OpenAthens account.
*If you have an existing account for your previous organisation, be sure to change it to Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals to access journals and evidence-support tools we provide for doctors in training.
Keep up to date:
Library membership includes KnowledgeShare, our tailored current awareness system. Updates are personalised to your needs and focus on developments that can change practice, and the latest publications on quality, safety, education and patient experience.
Log into KnowledgeShare using your NHS Open~Athens account to update and amend your profile.
Inform your research, service improvement and practice:
If you want to find the very best evidence but have limited time, come to us. We’ll search for you and will email you a selected summary of what we have found. Request a search online.
Study for Exams:
If you have a Royal College Exam in the next few months, check our Exam preparation tools and apply online.
Refresh your skills:
Bite-sized sessions on Understanding the Evidence, Facilitating Journal Clubs and Networking with Twitter, plus many more. All are offered on-site or online; explore our programme and book a place here.
