Help us to help you get the treatment you need during COVID-19

Coronavirus information and new restrictions from 5 November 2020

Following the prime minister’s announcement about new national restrictions from 5 November, the NHS and our hospitals will remain open.

Our hospitals have measures in place to ensure we can safely carry out urgent and non-urgent services. These include keeping confirmed COVID-19 patients away from non-COVID-19 patients and requiring all staff and visitors to wear face coverings and masks, observing social distancing and cleaning our environment continuously.

It’s safe and important to attend your appointment and seek help when needed. Unless you hear from the hospital directly, please attend as normal.

If you have symptoms - a new continuous cough, a high temperature (above 37.8 degrees) or a loss/change in your normal sense of taste or smell - please stay at home and follow the Public Health England guidance for staying at home for more information.

Keeping patients and our staff safe is our top priority during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Please read our visitors page before coming to the hospital.

If you have an appointment at one of our hospitals, please attend alone unless essential; exceptions are a support person for antenatal appointments and scans, a single parent for a child, or an adult carer.

Please note you must wear a face covering or mask at all times inside the hospital.

For further updates go to our Coronavirus information page.
