Preparation works on site for Stage 1 of the 3Ts Redevelopment started in January 2016. ITV Meridian News have been filming at the County Hospital this week to show how the project has progressed in the last year, including how patients are already benfitting from the works.
The news piece, which will be broadcast next week, highlights improvements in the clinical services that have moved as part of the prepartions for the redevelopment. These include a new SPECT-CT scanner for the Nuclear Medicine service and the move of the cancer ward from the Jubilee Building, that opened in 1887, to the brand new Courtyard Building. The report also shows the extent of the preparation works on site with the majority of the buildings that need to be deconstructed for Stage 1 of the redevelopment already taken down.
