I am a staff nurse in Critical Care at Worthing Hospital.
Working in Critical Care during the pandemic has been incredibly challenging, but it has highlighted how amazing and adaptable our team is, from our doctors and nurses to our physiotherapists, housekeepers and all multidisciplinary team members in between.
In Waves 1 and 2 we were supported by staff from theatres, recovery and ESCU; many of whom went above and beyond by putting themselves in an environment that was completely out of their comfort zone to provide much-needed assistance.
Assistance that our team were very grateful for!
I therefore just wanted to share how proud I am to be a Critical Care nurse at Worthing Hospital.
