Rockinghorse gifts baby boxes to new parents

As part of its 50th anniversary celebrations, Rockinghorse Children’s Charity is gifting special baby boxes to new parents at the Trevor Mann Baby Unit (TMBU) in Brighton and the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) in Haywards Heath.

To mark its special year, Rockinghorse has created a gift box for every baby discharged from either the TMBU or SCBU. Inside the box is a special 2017 graduation baby grow and bib courtesy of 3 Blonde Bears, a gorgeous handmade sensory blanket donated by Project Linus UK, as well as a gold-plated Rockinghorse pin badge for parents and a 50th anniversary edition Rockinghorse wristband. The bespoke box has been created by the team at Face Media Group.

Jo Myles, Founder and Managing Director of 3 Blonde Bears, had premature twins back in 2009. She explains why she’s supporting the project: “Both Amelie and Dexter were taken to the Trevor Mann Baby Unit at birth and then moved to the Special Care Baby Unit in Haywards Heath, before coming home six weeks later. The staff and support offered in both units was excellent and went beyond the call of duty. I’m extremely pleased to be supporting Rockinghorse with the baby box project in their 50th year.”

If your baby has recently been discharged from TMBU or SCBU and you would like to receive one of the celebratory baby boxes free of charge, please contact Louise at the Rockinghorse office on 01273 330044 or louise.bartha@rockinghorse.org.uk.
