Document supply is a key part of our service. Not everything may be available in our own collection but fortunately our links with national health, academic and specialist libraries enable us to source a huge range of books, journal articles, research papers and primary research to suit your specific information needs. And we can supply most items rapidly, often by the following day.
Our targets are:
- We aim to process all requests by the next working day.
- We aim to supply 90% of article requests by the next working day*.
- We aim to supply 75% of book requests within five working days*.
*Some items are requested from other libraries and so may take longer to supply
To ensure we continue to achieve these key performance indicators, we audit the service on a regular basis. During lockdown many members of our Enquiry Services team have been forced to work from home but our latest audit showed that we continued to meet the high standards we’ve set for document supply.
