Eastern Road will be reduced to a single lane where it passes the 3Ts Redevelopment construction site, from Saturday 2nd May to Monday 4th May 2020 inclusive.
The single lane section of the road will be controlled by staffed traffic lights. If an emergency vehicle needs to pass, both traffic lights will be turned to red to give it clear access through the restricted part of the road.
The road is being reduced to allow the largest of the cranes on the redevelopment site to be removed. The lorries that will carry the sections of the crane are too large to fit on the building site and have to be loaded on the road instead.
The crane will be taken down by the two other cranes that will remain on site.
