A 14 bedded acute cardiology ward (up to 8 of these beds can be coronary care beds) plus a cardiology day case unit with 12 trolleys. All our patients present with an acute cardiac event including myocardial infarction, heart failure and cardiac rhythm disturbances.

In our day case unit, patients come from home to have a cardiac procedure, such as a coronary angiogram, ablation studies and pacemaker insertion, and then go home following a short recovery period.
