Newhaven ward, part of the Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust, is throwing open its doors on Tuesday 8th January for a special nursing recruitment event.
Located within the Newhaven Rehabilitation Centre, Newhaven is a dedicated ward for patients who no longer require acute hospital care but need a period of skilled nursing and therapies support before being discharged from inpatient care.
During this special recruitment event, qualified nurses and Health Care Assistants will have an opportunity to meet the team and find out about all of the different available career options. The event, which starts at 10am, is also perfect for anyone looking to find inspiration to start their careers in these professions.
“Patients on Newhaven ward are cared for by a multidisciplinary team of professionals,” says Emma Symes, Matron for Workforce at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust (BSUH).
“We’re keen to meet people who are thinking about working in the NHS, who would like to advance their nursing careers or who want to provide outstanding care in a vibrant modern setting.
“The multidisciplinary team at Newhaven are extremely friendly and welcoming. The ward offers various exciting opportunities for learning and development with excellent support and leadership. It is a fantastic place to work!”
The event is being held on Newhaven ward, located within the Rehabilitation Centre, Church Hill, Newhaven, BN9 9HH (in the ward’s training room on the first floor.) No appointment is necessary and doors open at 10am.
