Help us celebrate the dedication of our staff and volunteers who make a difference every day. Nominations open today (March 1) for our 2019 staff Star Awards and we need your help to nominate the people you would like to win.
The Brighton University Hospitals (BSUH) annual Star Awards celebrate the dedication, hard work and achievements of people across the Trust throughout the year.
Patients, members of the public and staff can nominate a member of staff, volunteer, team or service who they feel has gone beyond expectations and is an inspiration to others.
BSUH Chief Executive Marianne Griffiths said: “Staff and volunteers across the Trust have worked incredibly hard during the last 12 months and their dedication saw us rated as ‘Outstanding’ for caring and ‘Good’ overall by the Care Quality Commission in January. The awards are an ideal opportunity to recognise all the fantastic work that has gone into achieving this. “
There are eight award categories open to nominations which reflect the behaviours and values we see across the Trust every day:
- Team (contribution to outstanding care)
- Extra Mile
- Outstanding Leadership
- Hospital Hero
- Compassionate Care
- Patient Champion
- Technology and Innovation
- Volunteer
Visit our website at www.bsuh.nhs.uk/awards/ to find out more and if you know someone whose fantastic works deserves to be recognised fill out the online nomination form.
A judging panel will carefully consider all the nominations and the winners will be honoured at a special awards ceremony in July, generously supported by the BSUH Charity.
