Farewell to Igor

Sadly, Igor Brbre, our Clinical Librarian for Children’s and Women’s Services Division, is leaving us on 14 September 2021 to take up a new role as Information Scientist at Healthcare Improvement Scotland.

Igor joined us in 2015, from NHS Scotland coincidentally, where he was Information Manager for Library & E-Learning Systems. He settled down into his new role with us very quickly and soon became expert at providing evidence and teaching to support the work of his clinical teams.

We were all immensely proud when he was nominated and awarded a BSUH Star of the Month award in December 2018 for his teaching skills.

Below is a message from Igor to his colleagues in the library and in clinical teams:

“It has been an honour and privilege to work as part of such an accomplished Library and Knowledge Team and serve esteemed colleagues within well-respected clinical teams.

“Thank you for your time and patience if I was sometimes too eager with my ideas or too slow to understand your requests. I have learned from every encounter with a member of the Library team and clinical staff.

“I will miss you all and the challenges and opportunities afforded by working as a clinical librarian for the Trust.”

Igor will be very much missed but we wish him all the best in his new role.

We’re pleased to say that recruiting Igor’s replacement is going well and we’re hopeful the new person will join us soon. In the meantime, please send any Children’s and Women’s Services related enquiries to the team on uhsussex.library@nhs.net.
