We’re pleased to introduce you to Yannis Vatis, our new Learning Technologist.
Yannis joined the iris team back in April so was immediately involved in developing e-learning for staff during COVID-19. Hence this is the first chance we’ve had to catch up with him! Over to you, Yannis….
“I’m Yannis and I have joined the Trust as a Learning Technologist. My role is to develop courses on iris as well as assist our SMEs with material and course creation. I also provide training and assistance with learning technology to anyone who needs it. My aim is to help empower our Trust’s educators with the tools they need to reach their learners more effectively than ever before.
“I come from a diverse background in both education and information technology. After completing an MSc in Information Technology Management, I worked for over 10 years as an educator in China and the UK. Through this experience, I learned the power and capabilities of technology to enhance learning experiences.
“Outside of the Trust, I juggle multiple hats as a father, a husband, a writer and an internet content creator.”
