We have a new Library Assistant at the AEB Library!

We are pleased to welcome Gillian Woodrow to our team. Gillian began working just before Lockdown so some of our library visitors will have seen receiving her training on the Enquiry Desk at the Audrey Emerton Building in Brighton.

Read more about Gillian below:

“I am the new Library Assistant based at the Audrey Emerton Building in Brighton.  I will be helping users on the enquiry desk and will also be responsible for the print journals.

“This is my first time working in a medical library.  I am a qualified librarian with a variety of experience of different services.  This includes working in the libraries at The Foreign Office, a firm of solicitors and a secondary school.  This is a bit of a strange time to be joining the library with the coronavirus pandemic but my colleagues have been very supportive and I am trying to get to grips with working both in the library and from home.  I look forward to meeting more people when life returns to normal.

“In my free time I am a Brownie leader, enjoy photography and attending a variety of sporting events.”
