Extended revalidation period for UpToDate

Remote access to UpToDate via phones or other devices normally requires re-verification after a period of 90 days.

UpToDate have now put new revalidation criteria in place; read their announcement below:

To help support care givers during this challenging time, we have taken the action to ensure continuity of access for users of UpToDate around the world during the COVID-19 pandemic and we have extended the re-verification window from 90 days to 180 days.

Re-verification ensures access to UpToDate via mobile devices and from remote PCs.  At this time there is no end date for this functionality and it will only revert back to the 90 day window when the pandemic abates.

There are three scenarios:

A. For currently active (or lapsed) users who can go onsite:

When they sign in via their organisation’s network, their end date will automatically extend to 180 days.

B. For currently active users who cannot go onsite:

Active users’ end date has been automatically extended 180 days.

C. For recently lapsed users who cannot go onsite:

For users who lapsed as of February 1, we are diligently working to renew access for them. We expect to have that effort complete by no later than the end of the month. At that point, their access will be automatically renewed for 180 days.
