Two of our librarians were delighted to attend the BSUH Patient First Star Awards on 4 July. Rachel and Cecilia were representing our clinical librarian Igor Brbre who was nominated in the Employee of the Year category (selected from all staff awarded Star of the Month throughout the year).
The BSUH Charity sponsored the event, which was a suitably starry celebration of excellence, innovation, compassion and care across the Trust. Categories included:
- Hospital Hero (won by Dr Rob Galloway)
- Patient Champion (won by Shirley Williams)
- Technology and Innovation (won by the Panda team)
- Outstanding Leader (won by Lisa Holford)
There were also two special Chairman’s awards, for Revd Canon Peter Wells and Dr Philip Rankin.
It was great to see so many of the individuals and teams that the Library and Knowledge Service has worked with this year being recognised. Congratulations to all the winners!
