Find your place and belong here

Local Hospital Trust offers job seekers the chance to ‘Belong Here’

‘Find your place and belong here’. That’s the message from Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust (BSUH) as it launches a major recruitment campaign coinciding with Brighton Pride.

Featuring hospital staff, the recruitment initiative celebrates the Trust’s diverse workforce. Equality, diversity and inclusion are fundamental to BSUH, which was recently rated as ‘Outstanding for Caring’ by the Care Quality Commission.

Helen Weatherill, Human Resources Director for the Trust, said:

“We aim to provide the same outstanding care to our staff as we provide to our patients. I’m proud to be part of an organisation where quality and equality go hand-in-hand, and where we genuinely value each colleague’s contribution.”

There are over 350 different job roles in the NHS with positions in all levels of care, support and administration. Salaries start at £17,652 and BSUH staff enjoy a wide range of benefits including flexible working options.

In addition to the range of professions and benefits on offer, BSUH is becoming known as a trust which proudly supports its LGBTQ+ staff and patients.

Earlier this year, the Trust announced its commitment to becoming a Stonewall Top 100 employer. It will also be entering the Brighton Pride Parade for the third year in a row on Saturday 3rd August.

This recruitment campaign will appear at strategic locations along the Pride Parade route, putting it in front of hundreds of thousands of people from around the world.

“Our focus is on making patient care better all the time,” Helen said.

“An open, diverse and inclusive culture is at the heart of this, which is why we’ve launched our new campaign to coincide with Pride. When staff are listened to and valued, they feel they truly belong here and can give their best to our patients.”
