Alternate Fridays 10-1pm at The Lawson Unit.

You are free to discuss any of the following issues with our Sunflower Team.

Health Advisor and Beacon women’s Service (work together): Pregnancy
care coordination with obstetrics postnatal support. Mental health assessment; domestic violence issues; financial and housing issues.

HIV Consultant: Discuss your health worries; review your medications. Request any investigations needed for general HIV.

Family Planning and Reproductive Health Doctor: Menopause assessment and treatment advice. Contraception advice and provision, including coils.

HIV Specialist Nurse: Smears and STI checks; blood taking; weight. Heart disease
risk checks; fracture risk checks; blood Pressure checks.

The Lawson Unit is now running a specialist clinic dedicated to providing a confidential and supportive clinic for women living with HIV.

Our Sunflower Clinic allows you to access a doctor, nurse, health adviser and a women’s support worker from the Sussex Beacon – all at one appointment.

This specialist team offers support, information and education around HIV treatment, contraception, sexually transmitted infections, fertility, cervical smears, menopause, bone and heart health, domestic violence, substance misuse, sexual assault, social issues and any concerns around mental health.
