Epistemonikos describes itself as “the largest source of systematic reviews relevant for health-decision making, and a large source of other types of scientific evidence”.
Run by a consortium based in Chile, it is an excellent place to begin a search for systematic reviews.
Epistemonikos uses a comprehensive and systematic approach to identify systematic reviews, and then uses both
artificial intelligence and human expertise to identify the included studies in a review, building a matrix of evidence, and bringing together reviews that sought to answer similar questions.
When sufficient reviews and primary studies exist, Epistemonikos offers a matrix of evidence, for example this, on thrombolysis for deep vein thrombosis.
Epistemonikos is free to use. Register for an account, and read the quick start guide.
