We’re delighted to announce that Sally Reynolds has joined our team. As the new Clinical Librarian for Women’s and Children’s Services, Sally will replace Igor Brbre who left last month. Sally was previously working as a Clinical Librarian supporting clinical teams in Worthing so is very experienced and knowledgeable.

“I’m very much looking forward to joining the library teams at the RSCH and PRH as the new Clinical Librarian following on from Igor Brbre, who will be a very tough act to follow.
It does feel a bit like coming home as my family are originally from Kemp Town, although I myself was born in a self-build house my parents had recently finished with a group of other like-minded young people in far flung Moulsecoomb.
My career started off in 1984 as a Resources Assistant at the Watts Building Library at Brighton Polytechnic, where work experience and training for a career in academic libraries was simply superb. But I opted to broaden my career in a range of other types of libraries including the Civil Aviation Authority library at Gatwick Airport, which came with the occasional treat of cockpit flight experience in some commercial and private aircraft.
Following motherhood, I yearned for a return to professional work again and I joined the Language Learning Centre at the University of Sussex where I was intrigued to discover that a succession of previous post-holders had moved on to work as NHS librarians at the former Brighton & Sussex NHS Trust. Did such a thing exist, I wondered? It was a career move that hadn’t entered my wildest thoughts, but here I am too!”
