Welcome to the latest addition to our team!

We’re delighted to introduce you to Lucy, our new Clinical Librarian who has taken on Tom Roper’s role.  Lucy joined us in February and has spent the last month shadowing Tom in order to have a full handover and to meet the teams he supported. Below is a little more about Lucy in her own words:

“Hello! I’ve recently joined the team as the new Clinical Librarian supporting General Surgery and Digestive Diseases, Urology, Acute and Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Trauma and Orthopaedics. I look forward to meeting you (remotely at the moment) as I start to attend meetings, deliver information skills teaching and provide evidence to inform patient care and service development.

“Prior to joining BSUH, I worked as an Information Specialist at the Royal College of Surgeons within the Current Awareness Services team. My first professional post was at Surrey and Sussex Hospital Trust as an Assistant Librarian based at Crawley Hospital so it’s lovely to return to working in Sussex.

“In my spare time, I enjoy running, watching crime tv shows and baking. I’m very excited to join the team at Brighton and am really looking forward to working with you. Please do get in touch, I would be more than happy to help with any queries.”
