This is a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role in two ambitious and innovative NHS organisations; Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust.
Western Sussex is one of only five acute hospital trusts rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission and provides leadership support to Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals Trust to improve performance and build a new organisational culture to underpin longer-term achievement and success here.
We are looking for someone who can be both an influencer and ambassador for the two trusts among our stakeholders and within our communities, and who has a passion for quality and excellence to match that of our dedicated and innovative workforce.
While the two organisations are at different stages of their improvement journey, they are guided by the same ambition of always putting the patient first and are equally committed to empowering front line staff to identify and deliver positive change in all areas of their work.
This ‘Patient First’ approach to continuous improvement is positioning the two trusts as leading organisations in the development of hospital care and making them some of the most exciting and attractive places to work in the NHS.
We are now seeking a new Chair who shares the same commitment to improvement and innovation in patient care and can enhance the ability of the Board and Executive Team to provide the leadership each organisation needs to fulfil its great potential.
