Our background

Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust (BSUH) serves a population of 460,000, and is one of 18 NHS Trusts located within the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Clinical Research Network. BSUH has many commercial partners in the form of pharmaceutical companies, Clinical Research Organisations and smaller businesses with an interest in Medical Technologies.

Brighton is the home to the University of Brighton and the University of Sussex, which hosts the Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS). Many of the BSMS academics also work within BSUH NHS Trust.

Brighton CRF is located on the main hospital campus, giving researchers direct access to patients and the infrastructure a teaching hospital provides to be able to execute a diverse portfolio of clinical research.
