NICE will close HDAS (Healthcare Databases Advanced Search) on the 31st of March 2022. After this date, you will only be able to access the bibliographic healthcare databases individually via their provider platforms.
Each platform is accessible using your usual NHS OpenAthens login:
Ovid – Medline, Embase, Emcare, HMIC and AMED
EBSCO – CINAHL and Medline (Select “institutional login” link)
ProQuest – PsycInfo, Medline and BNI
We will support users to use these platforms via our Finding Quality Health Information training sessions [See scheduled sessions] We are also creating a series of instructional video guides which will be published in the coming weeks on the Healthcare Databases page (Update notifications to follow via our News and Twitter feeds).
Note: if you have saved any alerts in HDAS, these will stop running and will stop sending results to you. Any search strategies and search results you have saved in HDAS will be deleted. To prepare for this transition, see: Video guide to exporting HDAS data.
