We are delighted to announce that Annabel Jackson Associates have been appointed as the evaluators for the CONNECT Arts and Wayfinding programme.
Evaluation is key to assessing and articulating the value of the arts programme to the health and wellbeing of hospital patients, visitors and staff.
The aim of the wayfinding illustrations in corridors and lifts is to make it easier for patients to navigate the hospital. Often people will be visiting at a time of stress and finding their way via room codes or signage may be extra challenging.
3Ts will therefore support visitors to find their way through the building by using careful colour coding and large scale illustrative murals, linked to the geography of the county.
Annabel Jackson Associates have experience of evaluation in both arts and health settings, from a large-scale project at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital to work for the Arts Council and evaluating the Fourth Plinth art programme for the Greater London Authority.
They will be evaluating the programme over a four year period using a variety of methodologies to gain insight into the impact of the Arts & Wayfinding programme.
