A walk between two hospitals: Chris and friends walk 18 miles for BSUH Charity!

On Monday 24th May, Chris, Clive and Dave took on the challenge of walking the 18 miles between The Royal Sussex County and Princess Royal Hospitals.

The day was a tough but rewarding one. The team left The Royal Sussex at 9am, heading towards Brighton Racecourse. From there, they took a largely off-road route, taking on the climb to the top of the South Downs and then the walk across Ditchling Beacon.

There was a particularly tricky section coming up next! The walkers had to take on a very steep and rocky path that was running with water. This was very challenging, even for these most accomplished walkers!

From there on, the terrain was a little easier, and they stuck to footpaths as they approached Haywards Heath. The team arrived at The Princess Royal Hospital at around 6pm that evening, a little tired but very happy to have completed the challenge. What’s more, their initial fundraising target was set at £500 and they are now at over £1.4k raised! A big thank you to everyone who sponsored and got behind the team.

What an amazing effort – thank you to these superstar walkers.
