Calling all runners and cyclists keen to take on a new challenge…

The marathon starts at Preston Park
We are thrilled to be a local charity partner for Brighton Marathon Weekend 2020. Now we are looking for people to be part of Team BSUH Charity on Sunday 19 April.
More than 12,000 runners take part in the Brighton Marathon annually. The route takes them close to the Royal Sussex County Hospital and along the seafront, finishing at Madeira Drive.
Get involved
We’ve already had a number of amazing people get in touch to sign up to be part of Team BSUH Charity on the day.
We want to hear from others keen to challenge themselves whilst raising money to improve care for patients at BSUH NHS Trust’s four hospitals.
On your bike!
If running a full marathon (26.2miles) is not your thing, you can still be involved. We have a limited number of charity places the BM10k race. If cycling is your passion why not take to two wheels for the BM Ride – a 50k bike ride?
Brighton Marathon Weekend 2020 presents an opportunity to achieve your fitness goals, support BSUH NHS Trust’s dedicated charity, and to meet other runners and cyclists.
Be part of a team
We will provide you with BSUH Charity fundraising materials including a running vest or t-shirt to help. On the day, there will be a BSUH Charity cheering stand along the race route willing you to the finish line!
You’ll also receive support in the build up to the event from our fabulous Fundraising Manager. She will be able to give you advice on how to maximise your sponsorship.
How does the money raised support patients?
The money you raise will help improve care for patients at our four hospitals: Princess Royal, Royal Sussex County, Royal Alexandra Children’s and Sussex Eye.
You can raise money for an area that means something to you, such as a specific ward, the Sussex Cancer Centre, Trevor Mann Baby Unit, Intensive Care Unit, or Cardiology Department.
Your fundraising will help front-line teams to purchase state-of-the-art equipment and environmental upgrades for patients, or advanced training for staff.
Support on the day
If running and cycling is not your thing, but you’d love to be part of Team BSUH Charity’s marathon effort, then get in touch. We’ll need volunteers to support fundraising events in the build up to the Brighton Marathon. We’ll also need volunteers for our cheer station on the route and in the Charity Village after the races.
Start stretching and sign up now!!
