BSUH has been rated better than the national average in every area of a national survey assessing services for young people with diabetes.

The Health Service Journal (HSJ) has announced BSUH as finalists for four awards, recognising key areas of outstanding practice and innovation that have helped to improve patient care, as well as enhance value and efficiency.

Work has resumed on a new £15 million Radiotherapy Centre that will enable cancer patients in Eastbourne and surrounding areas to be treated closer to home.
