The procurement and supplies department provides purchasing and supplies services for the whole of Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Suppliers

The procurement and supplies department does not maintain a preferred or approved supplier list. Where possible the department utilises national contracts or agreements through NHS Supply Chain, the OGC and NHS Commercial Solutions. We suggest to suppliers who are keen to work with the NHS they register on the NHS sid4health database.

Contract opportunities

Where it is not possible to utilise a national contract the department will go to the market working within the Trusts Standing Financial Instructions and OJEU values. The current thresholds are:

  • £10,000 - £25,000 – Competitive quotations required
  • £25,000 - £101,323 – Competitive tenders required (Except works)
  • £101,323+ - OJEU competitive tender required (Supplies & Services)
  • £3,927,260+ - OJEU competitive tender required (works)

The contracts team ensure where required contract opportunities are advertised, for information on current contract opportunities look at the contract opportunities page.
