The Neurology department aims to provide patients and carers with the latest advances in care. One way in which we achieve this is through our involvement in clinical trials and other research studies.

The Neurology Research team consists of Consultant Neurologists, Specialist Nurses and Psychologists, who are based at Hurstwood Park Neurological Centre, in Haywards Heath, and the Clinical Investigation and Research Unit (CIRU) at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.

The clinical research studies that we are involved in are supported by the National Institute for Health Research Clinical Research Network, DeNDRoN (the Dementias and Neurodenegerative Disorders Research Network) and the Surrey and Sussex Local Comprehensive Research Network.
